ZurichJS Blog

This Blog is an is an experiment and a space for thinking out loud together. Not every post is a breakthrough or a new invention. Instead, this blog captures the ideas, experiments, and reflections that help developers learn from each other. We highlight perspectives from speakers, contributors, and attendees, aiming to surface knowledge that strengthens the community and connects engineers across teams, companies, and borders. Whether you’re attending the conference or following from afar, this is where we continue the technical and human side of building the web together.

Zurich is so beautiful. Jet lagged as hell but these views just picked me up immediately. Can’t wait for everyone coming to @zurichjs.com to experience this in a month!

My todo list is roughly: - 0️⃣ get to inbox zero. I currently have 256 distinct issues/PRs/discussion to look at and interact with - 📚 write at least one blogpost - 🗣️ work on outlines for two new talks - 🙌 prepare for @zurichjs.com, which is next month

I'm looking at how to get to @zurichjs.com & just out of curiosity wanted to see the difference between the trains I was looking at, compared to a flight. It costs more to go by train & takes 9h for a 1.5h flight 🙄 We've got our priorities straight huh?

Meet one of our ZurichJS Conf MCs: @hola-soy-milk.online! 💛 Speaker, organiser, mentor, engineer & community builder, Carmen knows conferences from every angle. She brings warmth, experience and the ability to make a room feel like a community. We’re so happy to have her in Zurich!

Over 40% of CFPs for @zurichjs.com included AI and we opted for a more balanced program. What’s interesting though, is our AI workshops have sold out first. There’s clearly demand but I’m of the stance that _artisanal_ coding and long term foundational topics that stand the test of time will win imo

So… @alemtuzlak.bsky.social has promised to sign the new @tanstack.com shirt I just ordered. Who else is signing it at @zurichjs.com conf?

I loved @farisaziz.com take on using local meetups like @zurichjs.com, as a medium to beta-test his conference talks. Its a brilliant way to refine technical concepts while enriching the local community. Actually, I stole his idea, as well as many others 😂 Episode: neciudan.dev/takeaways/fr...

This is such a slick new website. The pictures, the layout, design and information architecture is a massive leap ahead from the last version. @chudy.me has steadily been making moves in the tech community space and you should definitely keep an eye on his work and meet him at @zurichjs.com conf!

Building apps with lots of data? There’s a good chance you’ve used @ag-grid.bsky.social. What we find genuinely cool is that they started as an open-source project and have stayed true to that developer-first mindset. Thanks for supporting ZurichJS Conf as a Platinum Sponsor! 💛

@nop33.bsky.social recently joined the @zurichjs.com community and his article on combining @tanstack.com Query Data is a really refreshing read. Love the writing style and it's rare to see explorative engineering work in this style with all the AI hype. I miss this! www.nop33.com/blog/combini...
